Senolita Van Gogh and Matisse

Room 21 was told to look at these 2 famous artist which was Van Gogh and Henri Matisse. Henri Matisse was famous for Fauvism and Van Goghs style of art is Expressionism . Vincent Van Gogh chopped off his ear and sent it to his girlfriend. It sounds really painful.

I was looking at Van Gogh's Sunflower and I saw in his art that he has been uses bright colors and vibrant colors like yellow, green, orange, to brown and some other colors kind of like Henri Matisse.

I also looked at Henri Matisse's art work which was La Musique on his art I saw him use vibrant colors and dark too. I saw a lady singing songs and playing the guitar. In the background there were leaves behind the lady that was singing. I can see that he used lot of vibrant colors.

Van Gogh and Henri Matisse uses the same kind of colors like yellow and brown.

I really enjoyed looking at La Musique because it was really interesting and I can understand it too. I can I tell that she is singing because she has a book on the floor so she can get the music for the guitar.

Room 18
The next day of rotation we were going to Mr Barks class to learn about Picasso. We walked to his class and he told us to find a sit, when we sat down he told some helpers to help him hand out paper.
I was so excited to get started on my art because I tried it in room 16 last year, I thought It was’nt hard at all.

We had a white peace of paper in front of me, Mr Barks put up a video on the board of a guy drawing like Picasso. Picasso was the type of man that like putting eyes different ways, bodys are funny and also different kind of faces. Mr Barks said “watch this video then we can draw” so we watched it.

We had to watch the video because we had to learn how Picasso draw and paint, when I looked at it I thought it was hard but when I drawed it, it was really eazy. The first thing we had to draw was a ovel but I could’nt draw it because it was kind of hard. We had to look at the video carefuly so we know what to do, I will always look at the photo but sometimes it goes fast.

The last thing I had to do before we went back to class to pack up and go home. Was to do the out line, then the bell to go home. So we walked to class and packed up and went home
….....IT WAS COOL......

ROOM 21

Room 22

Last week we did immersion rotations, that means we got to go different classes and do art. First we left to go to Mrs Nua’s class to learn about Van Gogh. Room 21 had to disign a flower, but we had to look at it properly and draw more information inside the flower.

So Mrs Nua gave out the papers to all of us, I was so excited because it looked very eazy but when we got started on the art it started to get hard then harder. When Mrs Nua came around and looked at our work I asked her “Mrs Nua can you please help me” and she said “shore what do you need help with” so I showed her and then she told me what to do. We leanrt that Van Gogh believed that colours had helling powers.

I did what Mrs Nua told me what to draw, after that I finally finished my drawing then Mrs Nua called us to talk about how to paint like Van Gogh. Then Mrs Nua said “Van Gogh chopped off his ear and sent it to his girlfriend.” Then we were allowed to paint and then I was very excited because I love painting.

I tried to make orange but it was not working with me, I said to Mary I “can you help me do the colour orange please” and she said “shore” so we got the red only because I already had yellow from Mrs Nua and put the paint on the palet. I really liked that Van Gogh put more details in his flower so we can see that he is trying to make it more intresting. Then it was time to go back to class because it was the end of the day..... IT WAS AWESOME.......

Pools

One nice hot Thursday me and my 2 cousins, Jamie and Miea went to the pools. I was so excited that I got to go somewhere because I didn't get to go anywhere for the first week of our school holidays. But before I went I had to get ready and get my lunch ready too, as soon as my uncle got here I put all my stuff in my school bag, he said to me "hop in the car and we'll go" so I ran in the car and my cousins were already in the car, and we were just talking before we left.

When we left we had a 5 minute drive and then finally we got there and I hoped out and it was so packed with heaps 0f people, people were walking everywhere I looked. My cousins and I went to the changing room while my uncle went straight to the pools. I walked inside the pool area after getting into my togs. There were 2 pools one warm pool and cold pool, me and Miea hoped in the warm pool and it was so little it went up to my hips. But finally Jamie Lee hoped in because she stayed out for like 10 minutes.

I was telling Miea and Jamie to come and have races in the pool. So we had a race and I came second, Miea came first and finally Jamie came third. I tried to come first but Miea would always come first so I got really angry. Then finally we hoped out and had our lunch but when we had lunch Jamie my cousin went and had a shower and then she came and had lunch with us.

We waited 20 minutes before we hoped back into the pool. I was finished having my lunch so I jumped back in. I wanted to go out and have a shower before we left. So I walked to the shower area and I saw my auntie and uncle come out of the shower and they said "hi" and so I walked away. Then I finished with the shower and then I walked out and my other uncle called Henari was gone but when I looked around he was at the park with my 2 cousin's.

So I ran all the way to the park to play with all of them I stepped through the gate and all these little kids were running around and I felt like I was going to fall over well walking around. I went to this thing it was a swig but it was a different kind of swig.

We were playing and then my uncle drove the car the park gate. My cousin Miea said "don't look at him so we can't go" then I started to laugh. Then my other cousin Jamie said to us "you guys have come because were going now." THE END

Swimarama

On the last day of camp we got to go to Swimarama and swim. I was so excited, as we were getting ready to go to Swimarama the teachers said "when your finish getting your packed bag than meet us back in the Street." I went to my tent to pack my bag to take it to the Street well we were swimming. We had to wait for the other bus for like 10 or 20 minute and then we finally go in the bus and we got there and the first group that came on the 1st 2nd bus were already swimming.

Miss Nua told us to" come and sit down on the grass before you go in the water" so we sat down and she told us the rules. Then we got to jump in the water and swim we were all swimming around and then the Warriors came to swimarama. Then Manu Vatuvi jumped in the water and we all cheered. There were lots of cameras taking photos videoing the Warriors swimming. I tried to get in front of the video camera it was really cool when I saw them.

Camp Concert

I was very nervous because I haven’t danced in front of so many people before. On Tuesday the 13th of March the Year 7s and 8s got ready to go to the camp concert.

First we had to go in our tents and put on our clothes. After that we (Respect Crew) walked to the e-learning room to learn our dance. Did you know that we only learnt our dance on the night that the concert was on? The boys were at the front and some of the girls were in the middle. Some were at the back with some other boys.

Our first song was ‘STOP, DROP AND ROLL’. We all folded our hands and started to go side to side. Then our second song was ‘HEY BABY’ and I said to Ms V “do we have to do this song?” and she said “yes.”

After doing our dance Ms V told us to come in the hall. So we walked to the hall and I was really nervous and I started getting hot at the same time. When walked to sit down, all the groups were already there.

Then Mr Barks gave some of the prizes and then he called up the first group and it was Team Respect. We all cheered for them while they were walking up on the stage.
All of them went to the back exciped Chante and these two other girl. They started singing I thought Chante had a lovely voice after they stopped singing one person came out and the boys were acting like the girls.

Then that was the end of the performent and then we all start shouting at them. After that Mr Barks called out some prizes for skating after 2, 3 or 4 we finally got to know who came 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.


Then Mr Barks said “in 6th place Respect Squad” and then there group we yelling saying “YAH” and then “In 5th place is Respectables” they shouted to. In 4th place Team Respect and in 3rd place was Respectors. Then Mr Barks said “in 1st place is RESPECT CREW” and that was my group we all shouted out loud and in 2nd place was Respectronics.

The Respect Crew had to stay behide and get their chocolate......
