My holidays

My aunty Josephine came back from Wellington and my mum said “do you want to go and see your aunty” and I said “yes.” So I got ready and hopped into the car and we went to my nana’s sister’s house. Me and my mum went inside and she came running out of the house and she cuddled us more than once. We sat outside on the chairs and talked about what is she going to do well she’s in Auckland and she said “I’m just going to do shopping here to take back to Wellington.


I was waiting inside and then my aunty asked if I wanna go shopping with well my mum goes pick up my uncle from his work and I said “yes.” She said “we are going to Pamure,” we went there to pay for her flight back to Wellington. We walked into the fight store and we sat down, I was looking at the news paper and she was doing her thing with the lady that was sitting in the chair.


We were finally finished and we went to the shop to get a drink and then we walked back home. When we got there every one was looking at us and I said “what is going on here” and they said “we are having a saprise party for Josephine.” But my aunty Josephine didn’t here because she was inside pulling her a drink in the class.


I went inside and helped her do the dishes, I dryed and she washed. after doing the dishes it was 5:30 and my mum came back and I said “bye see you tomorrow” and she said “ok bye.”
I woke up and my uncle was there waiting for me to get up so we can go to the saprise party, I got ready and we left my mum was going to come later. She was gone to the shopping for clothes, we put the table outside and we went and hide from her.


We heard her coming in and we jumped up and said “SAPRISE” she was so excited she even cried she didn’t want to go back. We all had a feed and we all said “bye” and we left to go home, it was the best time having fun with my aunty Josephine.......

Pacific Ocean

My special place is in Tonga because I love the clear water and how you can see fishes while you’re swimming. I like it there because we jump off the rocks.  I choose this special place because it is just a great place and it is really special to me. My family and I went there for 3 weeks for Christmas and had a lovely holiday. Tonga reminds me of swimming and having fun with my family. My dad’s mum is living in Tonga and her village is called Nuku Nuku. I went there to visit her and my aunty’s name is also Senolita. The photo was taken in Tonga on the beach when it was sun set.

The artist that I have chosen to base my artwork on is Daniella Hulme. She is a really famous artist for being quite modern. I tried to make my art colourful, but the  colours that I mostly used was green and yellow. I painted a girl in front of a beach and bushes.

ROOM 21

Room 22

Last week we did immersion rotations, that means we got to go different classes and do art. First we left to go to Mrs Nua’s class to learn about Van Gogh. Room 21 had to disign a flower, but we had to look at it properly and draw more information inside the flower.

So Mrs Nua gave out the papers to all of us, I was so excited because it looked very eazy but when we got started on the art it started to get hard then harder. When Mrs Nua came around and looked at our work I asked her “Mrs Nua can you please help me” and she said “shore what do you need help with” so I showed her and then she told me what to do. We leanrt that Van Gogh believed that colours had helling powers.

I did what Mrs Nua told me what to draw, after that I finally finished my drawing then Mrs Nua called us to talk about how to paint like Van Gogh. Then Mrs Nua said “Van Gogh chopped off his ear and sent it to his girlfriend.” Then we were allowed to paint and then I was very excited because I love painting.

I tried to make orange but it was not working with me, I said to Mary I “can you help me do the colour orange please” and she said “shore” so we got the red only because I already had yellow from Mrs Nua and put the paint on the palet. I really liked that Van Gogh put more details in his flower so we can see that he is trying to make it more intresting. Then it was time to go back to class because it was the end of the day..... IT WAS AWESOME.......

Netball

On a nice hot day room 21 went to play netball out on the netball court. When we got near the netball court we had to get into partners. Liz the instructor told us to go and stand on the X’s or the coloured spots. After we got on the X’s or the coloured spots Mary L handed out the balls to the people that were on the coloured spots. She gave the bibs to the people who were on the X's. Next we had to face our partners. Caroline and Waata were the ones to call out the numbers when we passed it. After doing chest passing we had to hold our arm up and our partner had to run and jump to get the ball. Liz showed us how to chest pass and jump up in the air and catch the ball. Then she said we were going to play netball and I was really excited. There were 3 squares and some people went in all 3 of the squares. When Liz told us to start we were still standing there saying girls vs boys. When the game started the boys got one goal in that was worth 50 points. After the boys got 50 points the girls had 50 points too and we were a tie. Then when the boys went to go throw the ball in the last goal they missed the goal. It went out of the line and then the ball went to the bibs team which was the girls Mary I passed the ball to Rita and then Rita got the goal in and then we WON. Then after that Liz told us to put the balls in the bag and the bibs in too. The boys were saying that they won but I said to them “no we won.” Mrs Lagitupu told us to get in the line. When we were walking to class we said “THANK YOU LIZ.”

My Holiday To Tonga

My Holiday was about me and my Mum going to Tonga with my Mum’s friend and her daughter.
On the day we had to leave to go to the Airport we had to say goodbye to my family. I was so excited to go to see my uncle but I new it would be so hot. I said to my mum “I think we need to get to the airport now or we will be late for our flight.”

When we got to the airport we harried so they can send our bags to Tonga. We nearly missed our plane because we got their late and my auntie was waiting for us. We said “BYE” to everyone that was at the airport and gave our passports to the guy that was standing next to the door to go wait in the waiting room.

Me my mum, Auntie and my little cousin was waiting for the plane to come back. My Mum was taking photo’s of my cousin Shireen and I well we were playing with the cards.

Then we took photo’s well we were waiting to get on the plane, and then the people that was at the desk told as to go to the gates to get in the plane.

Then we walked till we got on the plane and they had this think that you can play on at the back of the chairs. I was so excited because when you go up in the air you get this feeling that your flying. After hours and hours we were in Tonga, when I stepped out of the plane it was really hot instead of cold air it was warm air. I saw my uncle sitting up on the roof were people wait for their family to come out of the plane. We walked inside the airport and it was hot I was standing there really hot. It was night time already we were the last people to get out of the airport.

We drove home and there was little kids looking for pigs, you can see lot’s of pigs walking on the road. My cousin she has a pig and a dog but her dog got ran over and her pig it in her cage. We had to stop at lots of shops because we had to find food for the house.

My Family

Hi my name is Senolita and I am 10 years old. I am a year 6 at Pt England school. I love to play netball. My Friends are Mary I, Jessica, Alexandria and Serena. I like playing with them because they play netball and they respect me. I really respect them because friends do that to there other friends. My Dad works for milk. He is the greatest Dad I ever had and my Mum works for KFC and she is the greatest Mum I ever had too! I love my mum and dad, I can never stop loving them. My big brother is cool. He is the oldest. I love my brother. He likes rugby and touch. He is cool because he buys me stuff like shoes and clothes.

Christchurch Earthquake 2011

Yesterday at 1:00 in the morning a earthquake happened at Christchurch and a famous building got demolished from the earthquake. I was terrified when I heard that there was an earthquake. When I saw photos of the earthquake I felt so bad that I saw some people who got hurt. There were kids in the building when the earthquake hit and some kids might of got hurt too.

When the earthquake hit people were really scared and some people were even crying because
their family is still trapped inside the building and the ambulance people are trying to get the people out. When the people were trapped in the building people some people were saved or were found dead.
God, I hope you take care of the people that got hurt and the people that had family when the
earthquake hit and that their house gets fix soon and they don’t have to stay in the school hall for long. you take ' of the people that got hurt and the people that had family when the
